GSLC Seminary Scholarship Fund
A Seminary Scholarship Fund has been established for Good Shepherd members. The purpose of the scholarship is to help those who want to be ordained into full time parish ministry. If you would like to make a donation to the Seminary Scholarship Fund, gifts will be received until April 30, 2008 for the Fall semester. (It must be noted that Good Shepherd is prohibited by the I.R.S. from accepting gifts earmarked for a particular person.) Recipient(s), if any, will be announced by the Scholarship Committee on May 1 of each year.

Want to Get Married at GSLC?
The first step to getting married at Good Shepherd is to speak with a pastor about your desired wedding date. We’ll put you in touch with our wedding coordinator. She will meet with you to go over all the details. There is no cost to members for use of the Sanctuary. Your only costs are to remunerate the people involved in your wedding: the coordinator, organist, soloist, video and sound booth personnel. Our pastors suggest a minimum of three meetings, which include planning your wedding ceremony and pastoral counseling. These appointments are set up once the wedding date is set and you’ve met with our coordinator. Each year we do about 12-15 weddings for members and non-members alike. Altar Flower Sponsors
We have posted the 2008 Altar Flower Chart for GSLC-South (in the narthex) and the 2008 Altar Flower Notebook for GSLC-Northwood (at the information table). If you would like to sponsor a flower arrangement for a Sunday this year, please sign up today! It’s a great way to celebrate a special occasion or remember a loved one. The cost is $38 per bouquet. On your weekend, you may take home the flowers following the last service on Sunday, or donate them to hospital patients or others visited by the church staff the following week.

Chancel Choir
If you would like to join the Chancel Choir, our weekly rehearsals are Wednesdays, 7:30-9:00 p.m., in the Sanctuary. We sing every Sunday at the 8 a.m. service, and every other Sunday at 9:30 a.m.

Evangelical Lutheran Worship
At our congregational meeting we adopted a new hymnal to renew our 8 a.m. traditional worship service at GSLC-South. Please give your financial gifts in the ELW envelopes in the Narthex or at the information table. The cost is $25 per hymnal. Please designate your gift for the nameplate, and thank you for your donation!
