GSLC's Family Ministry Team has been given the challenge of
developing and overseeing ministry to children, youth and parents at both of our worship locations, GSLC-South and GSLC-Northwood. The purpose
of Family Ministry is to develop ministry strategies that will enhance the
spiritual growth and relational development of our children, congregational
marriages and families. We have two Ministry
Teams: (1) Children & Family Ministry, and (2) Youth & Family Ministry.
The purposes and philosophy of both Ministry Teams
remains the same: "To provide ministries and resources for enhancing
family life and development. We desire to teach families how to do family
ministry on their own. We have made a commitment to intentionally equip families
to grow in spiritual, relational and emotional health."
The goal of
both Ministry Teams is to facilitate ministry that produces God-centered,
Spirit-filled, supportive, peaceful families that are change agents of God's
growing love in our families, our church and our community.
Our Purpose in Children's Ministry Is to Lead
Children:
To know the love of Jesus To grow to be
like Jesus To show the love of Jesus

Do you have children 12 years or younger? Are you pregnant? Are you looking to improve your parenting styles? Then P.R.A.Y. is for you!
Full family involvement is key! The adults enjoy dinner for a nominal donation with a great speaker and fellowship time. The children enjoy a loving age appropriate lesson and fellowship time with their peers. Both moms and dads have found this rewarding and a great time. Cost for registration for the whole semester is $10 per family member participating or $40 maximum. Would you like to help out with the F.L.O.C.K.?
We need help in the following areas:
- Helpers with the "Thank you Brunch" for the F.L.O.C.K. staff on June 8 – perhaps your Small Group would be willing to do this as a service project!
- Power point presentation for the end of the year
- Many of our wonderful F.L.O.C.K. volunteers began their careers as apprentices. We want to invite anyone who might be interested in being a shepherd next year to join us in an apprentice program to learn the F.L.O.C.K. system. If you are interested, call Judi Hoefs at the church office 949-552-1918.
