Thanks to Our Teachers!!!

Since “Passing on the Faith to the Next Generation” is such a huge value of ours, obviously we know we can’t do that without faithful people who invest in our kids through our Sunday School program each week. I would like to thank the following volunteers who are making a difference in our future leaders!

Nursery - Lara Colocino, Alexis Garby
Preschool - Sue and Tina Koutsouros, Brian Boelter, Kendra Rickard
1st - 3rd Grades - Nick and Sarah Rendon, Koby Kincaid, Lynn Eng
4th - 6th Grades - Kathy Harrison, Mindy Perkins, Jody Kellard

Also a special thanks to our Sunday School team of Jodee Spellman, Sarah Rendon, Kathy Harrison and Dawn Kazoleas who helped keep our program running smoothly during a leadership transition. Also we thank Natalia Giesler, who has led our Youth. You guys ROCK!

Northwood Volunteers
I am also grateful for all of our volunteers who give tirelessly to keep our mission going smoothly. If I listed all the volunteers it could fill the next couple of pages. But we give thanks to all of our truck drivers, ushers and greeters, altar guild and communion assistants, event hosts, worship assistants (prayers of the people, lector, announcements), refreshments and our leadership team, who worked tirelessly to complete our business plan through 2012. Thank you all so much for your service to our Lord as we look to be Jesus’ presence and witness in this community. We could not have done it with you!

Invite Someone New to Worship
As I have looked at attendance we have grown from averaging 80 in worship (2006 through Oct. of 2007), to averaging around 100 the last three months! That is a 25% increase!!! Praise God! What’s the difference? People are inviting their friends, who are inviting their friends!! What a concept! It is so fun to meet your neighbors and friends, I hope this momentum continues.

Summer BBQs
This summer we will gather four times for fun, fellowship, food and teaching. The dates are Wednesdays, July 16th & 30th, August 6th & 27th from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. These will be held in homes, locations to be announced soon! Hope to see you there!
